R.I.P Mac Miller ,gone too soon man

The prolific American rapper has died at the age of 26.

Mac Miller has died. 

Law enforcement agencies have confirmed to several US publications that the 26-year-old died of an apparent overdose.

Born Malcolm McCormick in Pittsburgh, Miller had rapped openly about substance abuse in his music, particularly on his 2014 mixtape Faces and his second studio album Watching Movies with the Sound Off . He released five studio albums and many mixtapes, including under the aliases Delusional Thomas and Larry Lovestein.

Miller toured Australia in 2017, as part of Listen Out Festival, in support of his 2016 album The Divine Feminine , which earned the

rapper his first and only appearance in the Hottest 100 for ‘Dang!’ featuring Anderson.Paak. His final album, Swimming , was released just last month and featured collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Thundercat, The Internet’s Syd, and John Mayer.

On tracks like 'Programs', 'Buttons', and 'What's The Use?', the album addressed his personal troubles and increased media attention related to his relationship with girlfriend of two years, Ariana Grande, who called it "toxic" in a series of online posts after they split in May.

Shortly after the break-up, Miller was involved in a highly publicised car accident. He was officially charged for drink-driving in L.A. last month.

Miller discussed the incident in a July interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1. “It was the best thing that could have happened,” he said. “I needed that. I needed to run into that light pole and literally have the whole thing stop.”
