Destiny - Mzupta unpacking about Phakamani de comedian!

It's another interesting edition of #Destiny and today's difference is that we chatting to comedian who's of the stage birth and presence.

So here it is, brace yourself for an article featuring jokes reminder that's if you following him on social media.

Am talking of Phakamani Prince Khumalo (24)  a young funny and hardworking actor and comedian. He was born and raised kwaCeza in KZN. He is a brother of three sisters. 

Phakamani started his first year at Kohlokolo Primary, went to Mvuleleni Primary to do grade 2 to grade 4 he continued to do grade 5 to grade 7  at Mhongozini pp school and he did grade 8 till matric at Bantubaningi high school in 2012.  

When he was doing grade 3 (2003) he lost his father it was difficult as in 2005 October 5 he lost his mother and was a big challenge for him and his sister as he went back to stay with his grandparents on the mother's side..

His love for comedy started 2013 when he was at Durban university of Technology, when he was doing his diploma in internal auditing, he was doing drama at the res where he was staying (Campbell res) ,he performed in so many Varsity events doing  stage drama and comedy including DUT Spelling bee 2013, DUT talent show 2013 and other different events. Things didn't go well in school than 2014 he decided to go to JHB to continue with his career. 

He joined agency called Ghetto Castings where they use to book him as a background actor in Generations (SABC1) it wasn't a big deal but people love especially in his hood where he grew up they love it and believe anything is possible so he says.

 He continue working with small companies doing stage drama in school etc, 2015 and 2016 he was doing many things in the industry attending workshop and trainings of acting. 2017 he was nominated in KwaZulu Arts Celebration Awards for best actor and best Comedian, and he then able to win an award for best actor and became second best comedian. 

Late 2017 he also featured in Nongoma FM midday Chillas with Mthobisi Mthosh Dlamini  every Wednesday 12:45 to 13:00 doing comedy until this early this year. As Mthosh moved to a morning show Phakamani was also featured in The Start Am Drive on Nongoma FM 09:45 Fridays. 

Phakamani Did a lot in his career shared stage with giants in KZN like Gqonqa(phikamawuvuma),Moemish(wooden mic winner season 13) amawele asechesterville, Justice Kubheka etc. Now he is nominated on Live Your Dream Awards as a best comedian. 

He is planning a lot for the future he wants to grow bigger and go out of the country doing comedy because he believes anything is possible, he wants to win more awards, take care of his family, be a good example to other kids, all he wish is to help orphans and street kids to live a better life, donate in to charities, be a good father to his kids and take care of the future. 

He also wish to open his comedy club, and grow his event that started this year at Nongoma this have to happen each and every year, helping other artists to grow so says Phakamani himself.

Achievements including KACA best actor 2017 , DUT Campbell Hall best comedian 2013,KACA nominee Best comedian 2017, LYD AWARDS best comedian nominee 2018."
